DGT GTD for Android

image

If you are an Android user and into Getting Things Done, chances are you have heard of this little application from dgtale called DGT GTD.

This little-great app, even was not developed by a big company, it’s so intuitive and complete, that more known companies and well paid developers have a lot to learn from it.

Doit.im

This task management service by snoworange uses a clean GTD approach, which is rare, especially in free services. The specific application combines the simplicity of a left-sidebar GUI like nirvana with our –sometimes really complicated- favorite methodology, inviting all users from novice to experts to put their lives in order.

Doit.im is an ambitious and well designed project based on a web service which is easy to use, with additional presence to the popular mobile devices. With 2 million users by the time I’m writing this, it aspires to be everyone’s favorite task management application.

Todo.txt

If you ever thought, that there are so many task management and GTD applications, you have definitely sometime felt overwhelmed by all those different user interfaces and file formats.

Todo.txt is a set of scripts that was made for that exact reason. Created by Gina Trapani and supported by a dedicated community, it’s been around for quite a while, offering an alternative solution to task management through the use of text files for simplicity and portability.

The specific solution was mainly focused on computer savvy users/power users who find themselves comfortable working with command line tools. But that fact tends to change with the introduction of mobile versions of the script, as an app for Android and iPhone, possibly useful for more users.

Wunderlist

Wunderlist is a new project created by a team of developers and designers located in Berlin.

This application gives users the ability to manage their tasks and it is available for Web browsers, iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows, Mac OSX and lately for Linux for free.

As an application, Wunderlist is really simply implemented and enhanced by a beautiful and functional design. Those were the ingredients that brought a pretty big number of users to their user base right from the start.

Taskforce

Taskforce is a browser extension and comes with an idea first implemented a couple of years ago: Plug on to the mighty and popular Gmail and enhance it with task support.
Of course Gmail has Google tasks for this job you will say –and I will justify your statement- but lets admit that it’s not as advanced as many users would desire.
